Trustees update

25th February 2020

There have been quite a few changes amongst the trustees of Middlesbrough Foodbank over the last few months. Heather Black who has been chair since the Foodbank was set up in 2012 and Mike McCann have moved onto pastures new.  We’re immensely thankful for their skills, wisdom, faith, enthusiasm and humour that they have given over the last 8 years as foodbank has grown from the initial 4 boxes of food, to an organisation with over 100 volunteers, 2 members of staff, a depot, a van and 8 distribution centres which provided food for over 6000 people in 2019.

We’re delighted to announce that Alan Proudler is our new chair, having been a trustee for the last 6 years. Alan’s years of experience in business and as church warden at St Cuthbert’s in Marton make him a great asset. Richard Jones, Pat O’Connor and myself along with Jamie Jones who has recently joined us, make up the rest of the team. We are looking to recruit a couple more trustees over the next few months. If you would like to recommend someone- please be in touch, you can email [email protected] or [email protected] with your reccomendations!
